Job Title: Pet Stylist
Job Description
Pet Stylists are first-and-foremost expected to provide a safe and positive environment for our pets and our customers. Pet Stylists are expected to combine breed-specific knowledge and professional grooming skills in order to provide pets with a high-quality, high-functioning groom that allow both pet and customer to be completely satisfied. Stylists are expected to demonstrate patience, compassion, high-energy, great customer service, a positive attitude, stability, and sound judgment at all times. Environmental conditions sometimes consist of loud noises (dryers, vacuums and barking).
Job Responsibilities
Pet Stylists must:
- Must be comfortable with small children
- Obey the safety guidelines (listed below)
- Groom at least 3 dogs per day
- Have attention to detail
- Maintain and pursue educational opportunities on current grooming standards
- Be responsible for their own tools and maintain the quality of the tools
- Do their part to market themselves and the business through word of mouth, social networking, and the print advertising made available to them
- Complete the opening and closing tasks specified on the (Point of Sales) POS system when scheduled
- Navigate POS system in a timely fashion, and remain current on all software changes
- Answer the phone
- Ensure clients’ rabies information is up to date and sign-in sheets are uploaded daily
- Keep client information confidential
- Maintain a strong relationship with owners regarding their pet’s wellbeing
- Deliver great customer service in person, online, and over the phone
- Notify management immediately when an issue needs addressing
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to lift large dogs 3-5 times per day >
Pay: Commission-Based with Hourly fall back and 401k match

A Grooming Apprentice is expected to demonstrate patience, compassion, great customer service, a positive attitude, stability, and sound judgment at all times. Safety Precautions
A Grooming Apprentice must agree to adhere to the following safety precautions:
- Dogs on grooming tables or in bath tubs cannot be more than arm’s width away at all times
- Dogs cannot be left in the vicinity of other dogs
- Dogs must be on leads at all times
- No tools or equipment can be set on the grooming table
- Dogs cannot be placed in kennels with collars, leashes, toys, etc.
- Follow any additional safety procedures implemented by management
